Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akamaru Jackson (ranked 2952 p4p, 3494 weight class) and Jake Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Berzerk by Eminem. Jake Peterson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Peterson. Those never looked like landing.
Jackson throws a big counter combination but Peterson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Peterson misses with a few strikes there.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Peterson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jackson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Peterson's head.
Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Jackson postures up and lands a big shot to Peterson's brow.
It looks like Jake Peterson has been cut.
Jackson lands a couple of elbows.
Peterson working a defensive guard but Jackson passes into half guard.
Peterson is pressing down on Jackson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Peterson is looking to stand back up but Jackson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Peterson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That has opened up Jake Peterson's cut even more.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson slips a nice elbow through Peterson's hands, connecting with Peterson's forehead.
The cut above Jake Peterson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jake Peterson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Akamaru Jackson!
Akamaru Jackson took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
