Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bo Brands (ranked 3553 p4p, 4095 weight class) and Bob Probert (ranked 382 p4p, 422 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bo Brands!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Probert!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brands gets the takedown into side control.
Probert gets back to half guard.

Brands is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Probert defends it well.

Probert actively working from the bottom here.
Probert makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Probert.
Brands scoring with some ground and pound.

Probert had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brands defends it easily.

Brands stands up and waves to Probert to follow him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Probert gets a takedown into half guard.
Brands pushes Probert off but Probert dives into side control.

You can see the frustration on Brands's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Probert tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Probert has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brands is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Brands looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Probert has picked Brands up and slammed him! Brands can't keep hold of the triangle and Probert manages to pass to side control!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bo Brands will probably get the nod.
That's time! Brands's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Brands closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brands is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Probert can do to turn this around?

Probert feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Probert dives in and scores a takedown into Brands's guard.

Brands has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Probert has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bo Brands showed his dominance in that final round.
