Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dharya Bhate (ranked 1194 p4p, 2735 weight class) and Mateo Sierrra (ranked 111 p4p, 225 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dharya Bhate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mateo Sierrra! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sierrra steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bhate. Sierrra avoids the body shot from Bhate.
Sierrra slips a jab from Bhate. Bhate lands a really nice looking cross but Sierrra seems unphased.
Bhate lands with an overhand left. Bhate misses with a wild body shot. Sierrra tries to counter by closing the distance. Bhate throws a body punch but Sierrra moves out of range. Sierrra drives through and clinches with Bhate against the cage.
Sierrra with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bhate tries to pull guard but Sierrra holds him up against the cage and eventually Bhate drops back down to his feet.
Bhate fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sierrra. Bhate takes an elbow to the forehead. Sierrra misses with a knee to the head. Bhate tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sierrra smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dharya Bhate. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sierrra moves into the clinch. Bhate tries to pull guard but Sierrra won't allow it.
Bhate blocks the elbow strike.
Bhate jumps guard but Sierrra stands there with Bhate around his waist. Bhate gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bhate tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sierrra smiles and moves away.
Sierrra rushes Bhate and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bhate is trying to pull guard but Sierrra has him pressed against the cage. Bhate fails to pull guard.
Sierrra lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Sierrra connects with a knee to the head.
Bhate tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sierrra just stands there and leans against the cage. Sierrra softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sierrra's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Bhate tries to pull guard but Sierrra holds him up against the cage and eventually Bhate drops back down to his feet.
Sierrra scores with a shoulder strike. Sierrra lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bhate is trying to pull guard but Sierrra has him pressed against the cage. Sierrra gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Stalling in the clinch from Sierrra.

Sierrra has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Bhate seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Sierrra can turn it around. Bhate is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sierrra to keep the fight standing. Bhate jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sierrra walks away with a smile on his face. Bhate gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sierrra moves into the clinch. Bhate takes an elbow to the temple. Bhate tries to pull guard but Sierrra won't allow it.

Sierrra pushes off an throws an elbow but Bhate leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Sierrra lands an elbow just above Bhate 's eye. Bhate tries to pull guard but Sierrra won't allow it.

Bhate looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sierrra has picked Bhate up and slammed him! Bhate can't keep hold of the triangle and Sierrra manages to pass to side control! Bhate is looking to reverse the position. Bhate manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sierrra is working for a kimura but Bhate is defending it quite comfortably.
Bhate regains full guard. Nicely done. Sierrra must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bhate is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sierrra is aware though and is defending well. Bhate is looking to cinch up a triangle. Sierrra throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bhate's body to avoid the submission. Bhate has instead reached around Sierrra's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bhate arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dharya Bhate!
