Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nuppu Lupaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naoki Matsuhiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nuppu Lupaus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naoki Matsuhiko! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lupaus jabs at Matsuhiko's body. Lupaus tries to clinch up but Matsuhiko circles away and keeps his distance. Lupaus just misses with a punch to the body.
Lupaus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Matsuhiko.
Lupaus takes a swing at Matsuhiko's ribcage but misses. Matsuhiko avoids the body shot from Lupaus.
Lupaus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Matsuhiko, pushing him back against the cage. Matsuhiko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lupaus pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Matsuhiko fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Horrible takedown by Matsuhiko or perhaps it was just good defense by Lupaus which made him look bad. Nuppu Lupaus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naoki Matsuhiko. Lupaus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matsuhiko moves away. Lupaus misses with a looping left. Matsuhiko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lupaus as he jumps to the side. Nice defenses there by Matsuhiko.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Matsuhiko drops Lupaus with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lupaus looks back up at him and smiles so Matsuhiko waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Nuppu Lupaus has been cut. Matsuhiko tries for a takedown but Lupaus sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Matsuhiko misses with a takedown attempt - Lupaus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lupaus looks to score with a jab to the body but Matsuhiko is just out of range. Lupaus is looking to wear down Matsuhiko with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Matsuhiko ducks under a wild hook from Lupaus. Lupaus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matsuhiko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lupaus pinned against the cage. Lupaus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lupaus slips under a jab from Matsuhiko. Lupaus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matsuhiko manages to avoid it. Lupaus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lupaus ducks straight into an uppercut from Matsuhiko and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Lupaus maanges to regain guard straight away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsuhiko advances position into side control! Matsuhiko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Lupaus is trying to improve his position. Matsuhiko tries to advance to mount but can't. Lupaus is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Naoki Matsuhiko dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nuppu Lupaus's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Matsuhiko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Matsuhiko waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Lupaus. Matsuhiko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lupaus's half guard. Lupaus trying to hold on to Matsuhiko's head to control him but Matsuhiko postures up.
Matsuhiko trying to control the action but Lupaus is working from the bottom. Matsuhiko passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lupaus!
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsuhiko goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lupaus is on top in guard.
Lupaus wants to control from the top but Matsuhiko keeps moving. Matsuhiko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lupaus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lupaus stands and steps away. Matsuhiko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A telegraphed right hand from Matsuhiko misses the target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsuhiko shoots in for a takedown but Lupaus shows good takedown defense. Lupaus stuffs the takedown. Nuppu Lupaus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naoki Matsuhiko. Nice uppercut there from Lupaus. Lupaus misses with an uppercut. Matsuhiko saw that one coming. Matsuhiko fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Matsuhiko is breathing heavily. Lupaus misses the jab. Naoki Matsuhiko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lupaus moves out of range of the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lupaus misses with a hook. Good exchange - Lupaus coming out on top. Matsuhiko takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Lupaus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lupaus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matsuhiko moves away. Matsuhiko throws a hook but Lupaus avoids it easily. Matsuhiko swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lupaus counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Lupaus misses the shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsuhiko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lupaus darts in and clinches Matsuhiko up against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Lupaus. Matsuhiko fails to pull guard.
Lupaus lands with a left to the head. Lupaus lands with a light punch inside. Matsuhiko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lupaus pulls his leg out and moves away.
A jab lands there for Matsuhiko. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nuppu Lupaus dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Nuppu Lupaus's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Matsuhiko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Matsuhiko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Matsuhiko jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lupaus is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lupaus and Matsuhiko has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Lupaus is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Matsuhiko swings around for an armbar but Lupaus sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Matsuhiko's guard. Lupaus trying to control the position from guard on top but Matsuhiko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsuhiko looking for a sweep. Not yet Matsuhiko, not yet. Lupaus is looking to stand up but Matsuhiko won't let him. Matsuhiko looking to control.
Matsuhiko seems keen to control Lupaus's posture. Matsuhiko is trying to hold Lupaus in close to prevent damage but Lupaus has managed to pass into half guard.
Matsuhiko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Matsuhiko is trying to get back to full guard. Matsuhiko is looking to control Lupaus's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Matsuhiko avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A telegraphed right hand from Matsuhiko misses the target. Lupaus tries to clinch up but Matsuhiko circles away and keeps his distance. Lupaus is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Matsuhiko throws a right hand that Lupaus ducks under and follows up with a left that Lupaus also avoids with ease. A swing and a miss from Matsuhiko.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lupaus changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Lupaus just misses with a punch to the body.

It looks like Naoki Matsuhiko has been cut. Matsuhiko avoids the body shot from Lupaus.
Lupaus lands a really nice looking cross but Matsuhiko seems unphased.
Matsuhiko misses with a takedown attempt and Lupaus makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lupaus is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsuhiko keeps the fight on the outside. Lupaus changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lupaus swings for the body but Matsuhiko moves out of range.
Matsuhiko doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lupaus counters with a two punch combo. Lupaus tries to clinch up but Matsuhiko circles away and keeps his distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Nuppu Lupaus showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lupaus has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
