Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Larry Pindleton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Texiera!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Texiera is defended easily by Pindleton.
Texiera shoots in for a double leg but Pindleton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Texiera fails to land the takedown.
Pindleton half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Larry Pindleton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Texiera.
Pindleton swinging wildly here.
Texiera looks for a takedown but Pindleton sprawls well.
Texiera is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Texiera takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Texiera looks winded!
Texiera shoots in looking for a takedown but Pindleton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Texiera's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A combination from Pindleton does no damage.
Texiera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pindleton's waist but Pindleton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Texiera off to one side.
Pindleton feinted with a counter takedown.
Pindleton lands a left and a right that send Texiera crashing to the mat, dazed. Pindleton thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Texiera is rocked!
It looks like Charles Texiera has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pindleton lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Texiera head around and knocks him out cold! Pindleton hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Larry Pindleton!
After winning the bout, Larry Pindleton thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
