PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Reynolds (ranked 2309 p4p, 2524 weight class) and Pascal Popper (ranked 275 p4p, 292 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pascal Popper!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reynolds manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reynolds keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Popper.
Popper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reynolds was well out of range. Poor timing from Popper.
Reynolds lands a slapping body shot.
Reynolds misses with a wild combination.
Popper tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Reynolds connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Pascal Popper has been cut.
Popper misses with a body shot.
Popper slips a straight right by Reynolds.
Popper looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Popper missing with a left hand there. Reynolds was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Reynolds swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Reynolds throws a hook to the side of Popper's head but Popper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reynolds throws a jab but it's blocked by Popper.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Popper! But no joy.
Reynolds looks to land a left hand but Popper moved out of range nicely.
Reynolds takes a swing at Popper's ribcage but misses.
Popper unleashes a big counter combination but Reynolds bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Popper uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Reynolds.
Reynolds has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reynolds gets in close and tags Popper with a short punch that almost sends Popper to the mat! Oh Popper is in big trouble! He turns his back on Reynolds, trying to create some distance but Reynolds rushes him, striking wildly and Popper goes down! The referee tackles Reynolds into the cage to end the fight! Reynolds is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stanley Reynolds!
A relieved looking Stanley Reynolds thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
