Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ibrahim Conrad (ranked 3340 p4p, 4288 weight class) and Freddie Simons (ranked 229 p4p, 256 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Conrad moves into the clinch.

Conrad breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Simons dives in and grabs Conrad's left leg, looking for a takedown. Conrad pushes down on Simons's head and hops out.
Conrad fails to land with a series of punches.
Conrad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Simons blocks a head kick by Conrad.
Conrad closes the distance and lands a one-two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conrad is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Simons's half guard.
Simons is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Simons is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Conrad is tapping! Great win for Simons!
