This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Kim tries to close the distance and clinch but Muckerberg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kim tries to clinch up. Muckerberg is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Kim has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kim tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Muckerberg smiles and moves away.
Kim slaps away a takedown attempt from Muckerberg, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kim moves into the clinch. Kim gets a trip takedown into half guard. Muckerberg felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
