This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Stu Pendous! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 17 wins and 8 losses; Neil Nucombe! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Pendous moves into range and clinches up with Nucombe. Nucombe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Pendous is pressed up against the cage. Nucombe has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pendous down to the mat. Pendous avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Nucombe fails in his attempt to clinch. Nucombe clinches. Nucombe goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pendous prevents it.

Stu Pendous has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neil Nucombe. Pendous is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pendous is working for a guillotine from mount but Nucombe frees his head quite easily.

Nucombe remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pendous will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Pendous has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Nucombe! Can he survive? No! He's out! Pendous gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
