Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Helvig closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chai quickly recovers to half guard. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Chai manages to reverse the position and now he's in Helvig's guard. Nice work there by Chai.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Helvig looking for a sweep. Not yet Helvig, not yet. Helvig manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chai manages to get himself to full guard.

Helvig stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chai swivels though and keeps the full guard. Helvig looking to sit in guard and control but Chai gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
