This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Tyler Hammond! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 21 losses; Nate Pawn! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hammond is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hammond moves in looking to clinch but Pawn pushes him off. Hammond is looking to clinch but Pawn is avoiding it.
Pawn tries to counter with a clinch but Hammond shakes him off and moves away. Hammond tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hammond knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hammond is looking for a sweep. Pawn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pawn is pressing down on Hammond's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hammond is holding on for now. Hammond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pawn is looking to take a break and control but Hammond is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pawn trying to control the action but Hammond is working from the bottom. Hammond wants to get back to full guard. Pawn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hammond sees it coming and defends easily. Hammond looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pawn is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Hammond is staying active underneath Pawn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pawn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hammond is just riding it out for now. Pawn eventually gives up the hold. Pawn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hammond is looking to escape. Pawn is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! Hammond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hammond stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pawn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Hammond is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pawn is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pawn has escaped and now he's on top! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hammond (2) vs (7) Pawn Pawn trying to control but Hammond is working from the bottom. Pawn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hammond swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hammond escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pawn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pawn wants to control from the top but Hammond keeps moving.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Pawn passes Hammond's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hammond is trying to get back to full guard. Hammond wants to control the action here but instead Pawn manages to pass to full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Hammond (2) vs (10) Pawn Pawn is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hammond to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hammond shrugs it off. Hammond has given up his back. Will we see Pawn going for some submissions?

Pawn is not going to allow Hammond to sit and survive in this position. Hammond rolls, trying to escape but Pawn keeps control of the position.

Pawn is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hammond knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hammond for a finish. Pawn is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
