This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Dylan Toal! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Dusan Petrovic! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Toal moves into the clinch successfully.
Petrovic is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Toal gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Toal tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Toal jumps guard but Petrovic stands there with Toal around his waist. Toal gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Petrovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Petrovic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Petrovic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toal swivels though and keeps the full guard.
