Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nedser Kiely (ranked 1891 p4p, 3122 weight class) and Rakeem Marley (ranked 233 p4p, 350 weight class). Kiely comes into the arena with Hammer Smash Face blaring out of the sound system. Marley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Damian Marley - Welcome to Jamrock kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rakeem Marley!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiely wants to clinch.
Kiely throws a poor cross that misses
and Marley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Marley lands with a nice combination. Kiely backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Nedser Kiely has been cut.
Kiely throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kiely throws the left hand but Marley avoids the punch easily.
Kiely throws a right and a left that Marley avoids nicely.
Marley avoids the body shot from Kiely.
Marley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kiely was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kiely bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kiely looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kiely lands with an overhand left.
A big left from Marley misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kiely forces Marley back against the cage and clinches.
Kiely throws a punch but it's blocked by Marley.

Marley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kiely bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Marley's head backwards.
Marley throws a hook but Kiely avoids it easily.
Kiely throws a lazy right hand but Marley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Marley is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kiely with a body shot.

Marley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kiely manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Marley takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Marley finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Kiely ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marley moves away.
Marley avoids the body shot from Kiely.
Kiely throws a lazy right hand but Marley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Marley takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kiely struggles to land a body shot inside as Marley controls his hands.

Marley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kiely ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marley moves away.
Marley is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Marley throws a combination. Kiely tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Kiely closes the distance and clinches.
Marley tries to stall but Kiely uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kiely lands a nice uppercut.
Marley lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Kiely lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Marley manages to break the clinch.

Kiely has Marley up against the cage in a clinch.

Marley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Marley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kiely circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kiely connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kiely jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Marley clinches up with Kiely and pushes him back against the cage.
Marley blocks a body shot from Kiely.
Kiely lands a shot to the body.
Marley misses with a knee strike.

Marley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kiely swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Marley counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kiely's knee momentarily.

Marley has managed to clinch.
Marley tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kiely avoids it.
Marley tries to pull guard but Kiely won't allow it.

Marley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kiely misses with a looping right.
Marley moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Rakeem Marley has been cut.
Kiely misses the jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kiely throws a poor cross that misses
and Marley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Marley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kiely.
Kiely blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Marley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kiely. Marley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kiely throws a hook to the side of Marley's head but Marley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kiely tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marley with the counter takedown but Kiely avoids it easily.
Marley lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kiely thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kiely throws out a loose jab but Marley uses good head movement to avoid it.
As Kiely backs off Marley throws a huge counter combo but Kiely manages to avoid it all.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rakeem Marley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kiely comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kiely closes the distance looking to clinch
and Marley makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kiely really felt that one!

Marley tried to score with a low kick but Kiely checks it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kiely darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Marley is rocked!
Kiely ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Marley out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nedser Kiely!
An out of breath Nedser Kiely thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Rakeem Marley spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll be back better, jah bless'.
