Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Bravo (ranked 3004 p4p, 4312 weight class) and Gregory Hide (ranked 116 p4p, 162 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Bravo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregory Hide!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo tries for a takedown but Hide sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bravo shoots in but Hide avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bravo throws a sloppy head kick and Hide moves out of range easily.
Hide displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bravo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Bravo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hide shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bravo but Bravo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bravo tries a head kick but it misses.
A combination from Bravo does no damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bravo clinches up with Hide and pushes him back against the ropes.
Bravo is looking to break free of the clinch but Hide has double underhooks.

Hide successfully pulls guard.
Hide is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hide keeping moving, preventing Bravo from controlling successfully.

Hide looking for a sweep. Not yet Hide, not yet.
Hide not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hide wants to sweep but no luck.
Bravo wants to control from the top but Hide keeps moving.

Hide has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bravo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hide.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hide is looking for a sweep.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bravo working away.
Hide is looking for a sweep.
Hide can't do much from the bottom here.

Bravo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hide has escaped the position, nice work there.
Bravo advances to full mount.
Hide is squirming around, avoiding Bravo's attempts to control the action.

Bravo throwing strikes here but Hide is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bravo controlling his opponent.
Hide throwing hammer fists to the chest of Bravo. What's that going to do exactly?
Bravo thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Bravo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hide is on top in guard.
Hide is stalling in the full guard.

Bravo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hide won't allow Bravo to sweep him here.
Hide throws a big elbow that misses.
Bravo working a defensive guard but Hide manages to pass into side control anyway.
Bravo wants to control but Hide postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bravo is looking for a sweep.
Hide wants to stand but Bravo has his arm trapped.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Bravo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Hide shoots in for a takedown but Bravo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hide misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bravo misses with a takedown attempt - Hide sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
John Bravo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bravo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hide counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bravo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Bravo. No joy for Hide on that attempt.
John Bravo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gregory Hide.

Bravo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hide tries to avoid it but Bravo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hide to the ground. Hide escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bravo is looking to counter the offense by Hide and move into the clinch.
Hide goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Bravo instigates a clinch.
Hide jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bravo walks away with a smile on his face. Hide gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nice takedown defense from Hide. No joy for Bravo on that attempt.
Bravo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bravo avoids the head kick by Hide.
Hide misses with a double jab.
Bravo is looking for a counter combo.

Bravo gets tackled into the ropes by Hide. Hide maintains the clinch.
Hide is trying to maintain a safe position but Bravo gets an underhook and turns Hide into the ropes.
Hide wants a takedown.
Hide is looking to control Bravo's arms but Bravo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hide has his back to the ropes.

Hide tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hide shoots in for a double leg but Bravo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bravo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hide's waist but Hide gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bravo off to one side.
Gregory Hide seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hide looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hide shoots in looking for a takedown. Bravo tries to sprawl out of it but Hide keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Bravo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Bravo with that takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bravo is defended easily by Hide.

and Bravo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Bravo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bravo wants it to stay on the feet.
Bravo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hide pinned against the ropes. Hide gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hide darts in looking for a takedown but Bravo gets double underhooks and turns Hide into the ropes.

The referee calls for Hide to work.

Bravo throws a head kick but Hide moves out of range.
Hide tries to clinch there but Bravo circles away.
Bravo shoots in but no luck this time.

Hide goes for a double leg but Bravo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Bravo continues to drive forward.
Hide leaves Bravo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hide closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Hide is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bravo pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hide managing to block the knees to the body from Bravo.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bravo as Hide tries to tie him up.

Bravo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Hide throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Hide fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bravo manages to avoid it.
Bravo wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Gregory Hide comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bravo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
