The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Juncker closes the distance and clinches up with Scott, looking for a takedown. Juncker pushes Scott against the cage but Scott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Juncker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Scott swivels and escapes. That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Juncker showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Scott pulls Juncker in to control the position. Scott is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Scott swivels though and keeps the full guard. Scott has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Juncker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
