PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tater Salad (ranked 2936 p4p, 2690 weight class) and Putte Possu (ranked 229 p4p, 212 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Salad might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tater Salad. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tater Salad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Putte Possu!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Possu misses with a hook
and Salad counters with a nice uppercut.
Salad slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Salad lands with a hook. Possu tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Possu lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Salad backs up against the cage.
It looks like Tater Salad has been cut.
Possu misses with a takedown
and Salad counters with a straight right hand.
Possu is rocked!
Possu gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Salad gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Possu is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tater Salad!
After winning the bout, Tater Salad thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
