Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Bearson (ranked 4136 p4p, 4162 weight class) and Leandro Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 299 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hernandez moves into the clinch.

Bearson is trying to push Hernandez away but Hernandez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

and Hernandez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hernandez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hernandez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hernandez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bearson avoids it really well and circles away.

Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bearson as he avoids it easily.

Hernandez gets a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Bearson throws an elbow but misses.
Bearson wants to get back to striking at distance but Hernandez won't allow it.
Bearson blocks an elbow strike.

Hernandez pulls guard successfully.
Hernandez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's time! Bearson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hernandez throws a series of punches but Bearson avoids them all with ease.
Bearson tries to close the distance and clinch but Hernandez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hernandez cracks Bearson with a nice body shot.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Hernandez wants to take the fight to the mat but Bearson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hernandez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Bearson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bearson is sitting in close to Hernandez's body. Hernandez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Bearson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Bearson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hernandez.
