This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 66 wins and 82 losses; Shane MacGowan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 14 losses; Leonhard Klopstock! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? MacGowan looking to score a takedown here. Klopstock is defending well but MacGowan drives through and ends up in Klopstock's guard. Klopstock is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for MacGowan. MacGowan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Klopstock is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Klopstock working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. MacGowan can't do much from the bottom here.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on MacGowan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Klopstock is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. MacGowan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Klopstock thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. MacGowan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. MacGowan regains full guard. Nicely done. Klopstock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacGowan swivels though and keeps the full guard. MacGowan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
