Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Bradley!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jean Pelham!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradley has managed to clinch.
Bradley scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Bradley digs a right hand underneath Pelham's ribcage. Pelham let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Bradley controlling the action here for a moment.
Bradley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bradley throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Pelham stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Bradley follows into mount!
It looks like Jean Pelham has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bradley controlling his opponent.
Bradley get's back to his feet.
Pelham shoots in but no luck this time.
Bradley moves into the clinch.
Nice body punch from Bradley - that landed with a thud.
Bradley lands with a short shot to the head.
A short right from Bradley.
Bradley working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Pelham is working for takedown but Bradley is calmly controlling the position for now.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bradley creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Pelham looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bradley lands with a left to the head.
Bradley scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Bradley breaks the clinch.
Pelham shoots in and drives through. Bradley sprawls well.
Paul Bradley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Pelham.
Bradley leaves Pelham with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A head kick by Bradley - that's a beauty! Pelham is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Bradley can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Paul Bradley!
