A fine choice. Brophy has chosen Mama said knock you out as his entrance music. The key to victory for Max Vrechi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vrechi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Brophy looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Brophy fails to land with a series of punches.
Brophy doesn't manage to clinch there - Vrechi circles away.

Vrechi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vrechi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Craig Brophy has been cut.
Brophy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vrechi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A solid body kick from Vrechi.
A head kick lands from Vrechi that sends Brophy to the canvas. Brophy tries to scramble back to his feet but Vrechi brings him back down into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vrechi wants to stand but Brophy has his arm trapped.
Vrechi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brophy on the ground.

Vrechi decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Nice takedown defense from Brophy. No joy for Vrechi on that attempt.
Brophy steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Vrechi. That one must have hurt.
Vrechi drops Brophy with a right and a left! Vrechi comes rushing in but Brophy regains his composure and manages to keep Vrechi in guard.

Brophy is rocked!

That has opened up Craig Brophy's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vrechi scores with a kick to the body.
Vrechi lands a brutal head kick. Brophy looks out on his feet and Vrechi throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
