The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight scores with a takedown into Washington's guard. Knight is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Knight lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Knight distracts Washington with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Knight wants to control from the top but Washington keeps moving. Washington working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knight doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Washington is tightening it up a little... Knight has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Knight reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Knight taps out! Nice BJJ there by Washington!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Justice Washington!
