Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chief Bloodgates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aden Parker! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bloodgates displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Parker throws out the jab. Parker lands with a nice body punch. Parker punishes Bloodgates's body with a nice straight punch. Parker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Parker fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bloodgates throws a right hand that misses
and Parker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Parker throws an off balance right hand
and Bloodgates counters with a stiff right hand. Bloodgates gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Bloodgates throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Parker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice body punch from Parker. Parker misses with a straight left. Bloodgates uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parker.
Parker is looking to score with low kicks. Bloodgates was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bloodgates takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Aden Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bloodgates.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bloodgates. Bloodgates misses with a double jab.
It seemed like Parker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bloodgates takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Parker swings widly with a right hand
and Bloodgates counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Parker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Parker lands with a good body shot. Parker walks into a stiff left hand from Bloodgates. Parker lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Parker moves into the clinch. Parker can't find room to land a body shot as Bloodgates controls the action.
Bloodgates blocks an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parker trying to land knees to the body.
Bloodgates tries to throw a body punch but Parker avoids it by throwing Bloodgates back against the cage. Bloodgates is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Parker is defending well for now. Bloodgates gets through Parker's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker scores with a nice hook to the head. A short right from Parker on the inside. Parker presses Bloodgates against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Parker lands with a right to the head. Parker missing with knees to the body.
Parker throws a punch but it's blocked by Bloodgates. Parker struggles to land a body shot inside as Bloodgates controls his hands.
Parker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bloodgates backwards. Parker working aggressively here.
Bloodgates lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Bloodgates tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Parker's elbow. Bloodgates has Parker pressed against the cage.
Bloodgates misses with a punch on the inside.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Parker takes a knee to the side of the body. Bloodgates blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Bloodgates swings wildly with an uppercut but Parker uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Bloodgates. Bloodgates definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Parker lands on the inside with an uppercut. Parker managing to block the knees to the body from Bloodgates.
Bloodgates effectively controlling the action here. Bloodgates letting Parker take a breather here. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Bloodgates misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bloodgates prevents a body shot from Parker. Parker scores with a hook to the body. Bloodgates lands a left hand that snaps the head of Parker backwards. A head punch on the inside from Parker fails to land. Parker softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Bloodgates lands a body shot. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Parker as Bloodgates tries to tie him up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker swings wildly with an uppercut but Bloodgates uses good head movement to avoid it. Parker misses with a hook from the clinch. Parker lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Bloodgates. Bloodgates looking to stall.
A nice left hand lands by Parker.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bloodgates misses with a hook to the ribs.
A nice right hand lands inside from Parker. Parker working some nice short punches in the clinch. Parker misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bloodgates.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Parker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parker lands a hook that snaps the head of Bloodgates backwards. Parker swings wildly with an uppercut but Bloodgates uses good head movement to avoid it. Parker is trying to maintain a safe position but Bloodgates gets an underhook and turns Parker into the cage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aden Parker dominated that round. That's time! Bloodgates's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Parker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bloodgates.
Parker pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Parker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Parker gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Parker misses with a shot to the body and Parker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Parker is rocked! Parker throws a sloppy body shot
and Bloodgates counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
