Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adonis Ford (ranked 823 p4p, 566 weight class) and Danny Vargas (ranked 91 p4p, 71 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adonis Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danny Vargas!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford closes the distance and pushes Vargas back into the cage.
Vargas manages to break the clinch.
Vargas circles away from the clinch attempt
and Vargas counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Adonis Ford has been cut.
Ford tries to clinch but Vargas moves out of range.
Ford tries to clinch up.
Ford fails with an attempt to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Vargas! But no joy.
Vargas throws a hook but Ford blocks it.
Ford tries to clinch
and Ford takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A telegraphed right hand from Vargas misses the target.
Vargas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ford fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ford seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Vargas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Vargas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ford tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vargas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Vargas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ford tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vargas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A little jabbing left from Vargas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ford tries to clinch but Vargas is having none of it.
Vargas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ford uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vargas.
Ford wants to clinch up but Vargas keeps it at a distance.

and Vargas counters with a left and a right that stings Ford.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vargas drops Ford with a beautiful combination! Ford stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Vargas is looking for the KO!
Ford is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vargas throws a looping overhand right but Ford ducks down to avoid it.
Ford tries to counter by clinching up but Vargas breaks away and moves out of range.
Oh Ford is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ford switches off momentarily and Vargas cracks him with a monster right hand! Ford topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Vargas dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Vargas!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Danny Vargas!
