Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Phillip Mckay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodney Pitstain!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckay closes the distance and clinches up with Pitstain, looking for a takedown. Mckay pushes Pitstain against the cage but Pitstain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pitstain's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pitstain duly obliges.

It looks like Phillip Mckay has been cut.
Mckay digs a good hook to Pitstain's body.
Pitstain throws a series of punches but Mckay avoids them all with ease.
A head kick misses from Mckay.
Mckay tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Oooooh!!! Pitstain has knocked Mckay down with a huge combo! Pitstain steps away and waves a wobbly Mckay back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Mckay is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mckay clinches up with Pitstain and pushes him back against the cage.

Mckay pulls guard.
Pitstain preventing the sweep.

Pitstain stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Pitstain misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mckay avoids the head kick by Pitstain.
Pitstain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rodney Pitstain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mckay shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pitstain's guard.

Pitstain pushes Mckay off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Rodney Pitstain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pitstain jabs Mckay right on the nose. Mckay blinks but takes it well.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mckay or perhaps it was just good defense by Pitstain, which made it look bad.

and Mckay counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pitstain is looking to escape.

Mckay decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Mckay is looking to land body kicks.
Pitstain throws a nice looking combination but Mckay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Pitstain gets tackled into the cage by Mckay. Mckay maintains the clinch.

Mckay tightens his grip and picks Pitstain up, before dumping him to the ground. Pitstain manages to land in guard.
Pitstain is looking to stand back up but Mckay counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Pitstain.

Mckay is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Pitstain blocking the ground and pound.
Pitstain is bucking up trying to escape but Mckay cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Mckay throws some wild stikes that Pitstain manages to avoid easily.
Mckay controlling from mount.
Pitstain tries to buck Mckay off but Mckay takes his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pitstain covering up well under a barage of strikes.

Mckay has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Pitstain is defending well but eventually Mckay manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Pitstain has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Phillip Mckay!
Rodney Pitstain was interviewed post fight and said 'You can't hang and bang with everyone, but I did my best tonight. Screw the haters, I love you all, though.'.
