Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reñan Silva (ranked 3564 p4p, 2627 weight class) and Tony Taxi (ranked 356 p4p, 275 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by “Ak Do Flamego”. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reñan Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Taxi!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a head kick.
Taxi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Silva.
Taxi misses the jab.
Silva changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Silva misses with a body kick.
Silva throws a low kick but Taxi avoids it.
Taxi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Silva tries to land a front kick but Taxi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Taxi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Taxi misses with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Taxi. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Silva dives in and grabs Taxi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taxi pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Silva tries to score with a low kick but Taxi moves his leg out of the way.
A nice side step and Taxi releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Taxi instigates a clinch.

Silva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Taxi regains guard.
Taxi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.
Silva wants to control from the top but Taxi keeps moving.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taxi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Taxi's guard.
Silva slows the pace down in half guard.
Taxi wants to get back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Silva seems content to control.

Silva throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Taxi is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action.
Taxi wants to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taxi is trying desperately to improve position.
Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Taxi's face.

Taxi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Silva looking to control but Taxi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Silva connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Silva breaks from Taxi's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Silva prevents Taxi from getting the reversal.
Taxi felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Taxi takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Taxi is bucking up trying to escape but Silva cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Taxi tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
Silva with shots to the head and body - Taxi looks very uncomfortable down there.
Silva is landing with some decent strikes but Taxi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Taxi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Taxi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva wants to control the pace but Taxi is squirming around nicely.
Silva is really struggling to control Taxi but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Silva lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Reñan Silva dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Taxi throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Taxi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Silva throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Silva looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Taxi misses with a wild body shot.
As Taxi backs away, Silva returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Taxi as he jumps to the side.
Reñan Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva throws a chopping leg kick but Taxi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Taxi throws out a counter right but Silva avoids it with no problem.

Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taxi.
Taxi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Silva moves out of range as Taxi strikes.
Silva misses with a body shot.
Silva connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva misses the shot to the body.

Taxi keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Taxi takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
Taxi throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot.
Taxi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
It looked like Silva was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Taxi.

Taxi stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Taxi rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Taxi fails to land.

Taxi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Taxi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Taxi let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Silva lands a nice looking kick to the body. Taxi takes a step back to recover.
Silva shoots for a takedown but Taxi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Silva goes for a double leg but Taxi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Taxi continues to drive forward.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A short right hand to the side of the head by Taxi.

Silva gets control of Taxi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

I would just about give that final round to Tony Taxi.
I think Taxi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
