And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 38 wins and 40 losses; Richard Anderson! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Horrible takedown attempt by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Sulvar, which made it look bad. Sulvar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Anderson moves into range and clinches up with Sulvar. Anderson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sulvar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Anderson is working for takedown but Sulvar is calmly controlling the position for now. Tres Sulvar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Anderson. Anderson goes for a takedown attempt but Sulvar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Anderson forces Sulvar back against the ropes and clinches. Anderson's coach down at Jed's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Anderson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Anderson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sulvar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Anderson tries to score a body lock takedown but Sulvar shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sulvar has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Anderson wants to take the fight to the mat but Sulvar manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Sulvar trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. Anderson pulls Sulvar in close to prevent any damage. Anderson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sulvar controls the pace. Anderson wants to sweep here but Sulvar controlling him for the moment.

Sulvar is looking to advance position but Anderson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! That's six minutes gone in the round. It looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Sulvar tries to hold on but Anderson postures up. Sulvar is looking to improve his position but Anderson isn't that keen on the idea.

Sulvar just trying to survive but Anderson is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. You can see the frustration on Sulvar's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Anderson controls the action. Anderson gets his hands free as Sulvar looks to control. Sulvar prevents Anderson from getting a body triangle.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Sulvar controlling his opponent's hands, preventing the submission attempt. Anderson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Sulvar staying busy and making it hard for Anderson to control. Anderson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sulvar's body.

Anderson wants to control but Sulvar is keeping busy. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Sulvar trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Anderson keeps control of the position as Sulvar tries to break free.
Sulvar manages to reverse the position and now he's in Anderson's guard. Nice work there by Sulvar.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Anderson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sulvar escapes and throws Anderson's legs to the side, diving into side control!
