This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Yung Armbar! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and James Atkins.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Armbar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Adams (2) vs (0) Armbar Armbar is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Adams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armbar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Adams wants to control from the top but Armbar keeps moving. Armbar looking to control.
Armbar pulls Adams in close to prevent any damage. Adams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Armbar is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armbar keeping moving, preventing Adams from controlling successfully.

Adams tries to free his leg and advance position but Armbar is retaining full guard. Armbar looking for a sweep. Not yet Armbar, not yet. Adams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Adams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Armbar is one step ahead there. Adams looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Score +3 for passing guard: Adams (2) vs (5) Armbar Adams looks to move to half guard but instead Armbar has passed into mount! Damn! Score +2 for reaching mount: Adams (2) vs (7) Armbar Armbar trying to control but Adams is having none of it. Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Armbar on the ground. Armbar looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Armbar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Armbar working for a guillotine from mount but Adams is in no mood to give up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams tries to lock up and control but Armbar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Adams really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Adams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Armbar working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Adams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Adams tries to get out of the position. Armbar has hold of Adams's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Adams manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Armbar prevents Adams from getting the reversal. Adams is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Armbar working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Adams looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Armbar! Submission of the night perhaps?
