This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Phillip Mckay! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 4 losses; Ryan Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Atkins.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Mckay tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gordon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Let's hope that Gordon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gordon is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mckay's shoulder. That is not cool.

Mckay is trying to control Gordon's posture but Gordon avoids it.
Mckay tries to bench press Gordon off him but Gordon keeps the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gordon in particular looking to stall.

Gordon has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mckay's body.
It looks like Gordon might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Mckay rolls, trying to escape but Gordon keeps control of the position.

Mckay just trying to survive but Gordon is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
