This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 52 wins and 27 losses; Enamorado Bandito! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 5 losses; Katelynn Arby! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Bandito gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Bandito (0) vs (2) Arby Arby trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bandito has control of Arby's left arm, preventing Arby from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arby pushes down on Bandito's leg and manages to get into half guard. Arby is looking to take a break and control but Bandito is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bandito tries to get to full guard but Arby has control of the leg.

Arby perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've been hearing good reports from Bandito's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Arby wants to pass the guard but Bandito is keeping the position. Arby is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. It looks like Arby might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Arby is fighting to break Bandito's control of his arms but Bandito is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
