Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Nass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hilo Amester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Nass could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hilo Amester's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Nass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hilo Amester! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amester gets caught flat footed, as Nass shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Nass decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Amester, up you get! Amester drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nass being controlled for a moment. Amester tries for a kimura but Nass is defending well. Nass is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Amester works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Amester is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Nass's shoulder. That is not cool. You can see the frustration on Nass's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nass is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Amester trying to control the action but Nass is working from the bottom. Nass is looking for a sweep. Nass regains half guard. Amester is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Nass wants to improve his position but Amester is controlling well.
Nass is working hard here to advance position. Nass looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nass looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nass is breathing heavily. Nass is refusing to be controlled, as Amester sits in half guard. Nass is trying to stand.
Amester thows a huge punch but Nass dodges it nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amester gets a clinch. Nass ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nass no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Nass is looking to stand up but Amester isn't so interested in that idea. Amester trying to control the position from guard on top but Nass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Amester is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amester drops back looking for a leg! Nass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nass manages to kick Amester off! Amester jumps back into Nass's guard. Amester is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Amester decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nass, up you get! Nass misses with a two punch combination.
Amester fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nass sprawls well initially but Amester persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Nass is staying active underneath Amester, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nass wants to control but Amester is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amester seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nass does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nass is trying to stand up here but Amester is controlling him well. Nass is looking to improve his position.
Amester decides to stand up. Amester drives through with a takedown into guard. Amester content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hilo Amester dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nass moves into the clinch. Amester drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Amester trying to control but Nass is working from the bottom. Amester won't allow Nass to sweep him here. Nass is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Amester drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Amester jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nass will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nass connects with a good right hand that stumbles Amester. Amester circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nass closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nass controlling from side mount. Nass is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Amester is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Amester is trying to control Nass's posture but Nass avoids it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nass throwing strikes but missing, from side control. You can see the frustration on Amester's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hilo Amester has got the better of the ground game so far. Nass is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Amester knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Amester gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Amester missing with punches from the bottom.

Amester looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Nass trying to control here.

Nass is concentrating on defense, preventing Amester from advancing position. Nass trying to hold on to Amester's head to control him but Amester postures up.
Amester wants to pass the guard but Nass is defending well. Amester is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nass doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Amester. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Amester is pressing down on Nass's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nass is holding on for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Hilo Amester will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Nass is fighting off a takedown attempt but Amester is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Nass to the mat. Nass regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Nass is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nass is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Amester is staying active underneath Nass, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amester is trying to maintain the position but Nass is very close to passing his half guard. Nass missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Amester has his hands clasped together around Nass's back. He's all about the action. Nass wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amester keeps working. Nass not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nass gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Amester shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nass as he avoids it easily. Nass shoots for a takedown but Amester saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Amester forces Nass back against the cage and clinches. Nass is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Nass tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Amester smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Nass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nass shoots in and bounces Amester off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nass throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Amester works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Amester has his foot on Nass's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nass works his way back into a safe position though. Nass trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Amester is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Nass passes Amester's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Nass is going to stand back up.
Amester has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nass is working away from the top position though. Nass is trying to control. Amester wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Nass is thwarting Amester's attempts to control the position. Nass is keen to just control but Amester is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Amester. Nass regains half guard. Nass is pressing down on Amester's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Amester is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nass tries to land a sweep but no joy. Amester trying to control but Nass is working from the bottom. Nass looking to hit a scissor sweep but Amester is one step ahead there. Nass is trying to keep Amester in close.

Jake Nass has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hilo Amester is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Amester's corner is telling him to maintain position.
