Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michele Rene Gaspard (ranked 1493 p4p, 2244 weight class) and Ivarsson Trippin (ranked 131 p4p, 183 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Michele Rene Gaspard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivarsson Trippin!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trippin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gaspard moves out of range of the leg kick from Trippin.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gaspard fails to pull guard.
Trippin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Trippin misses with some punches.
Gaspard blocks a body shot from Trippin.
Trippin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gaspard jumps guard.
Trippin trying to control the position from guard on top but Gaspard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gaspard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gaspard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trippin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gaspard looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Trippin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gaspard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trippin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trippin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gaspard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trippin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Gaspard is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Trippin has his hands clasped together but Gaspard extends and breaks Trippin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gaspard.
