Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Neal Robson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hubert Zoerner!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Robson misses with a body shot.
Zoerner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Zoerner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
A lull in the action here.
Robson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Zoerner is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Zoerner might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Zoerner throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Robson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zoerner is in Robson's guard.

We've been informed that Zoerner has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Zoerner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Robson just trying to survive but Zoerner is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hubert Zoerner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Robson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Robson counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Hubert Zoerner has been cut.
Robson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Zoerner doesn't seem bothered though.
Zoerner shoots in and drives through. Robson sprawls well.
Robson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zoerner was well out of range. Poor timing from Robson.

Zoerner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zoerner showed some decent athleticism there.
Hubert Zoerner has got the better of the ground game so far.
Zoerner wants to pass the guard but Robson is defending well.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zoerner fails to land the takedown.
Robson lands with a nice body punch.
Zoerner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Robson works Zoerner's body with a nice hook.
Robson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zoerner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Robson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Robson scores with a leg kick.
Neal Robson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zoerner fails with the takedown
and Robson counters with a nice body shot.
Neal Robson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hubert Zoerner.
Zoerner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Robson lands a slapping body shot.
Neal Robson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Robson connects with a looping right hand.

Zoerner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Robson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Robson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Robson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zoerner with a lazy takedown attempt
and Robson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Robson throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Zoerner crashing down! Zoerner tries to stagger back to his feet but Robson just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Zoerner asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neal Robson!
