The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boytsov takes a jab right on the kisser.
Pearce is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boytsov.
A little feinted left hand from Boytsov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nice uppercut there from Boytsov.
Pearce scores with a jab to the head.
Pearce misses the shot to the body.
Boytsov looks for a takedown but Pearce sprawls well.
Pearce looks to throw the jab but Boytsov is out of range.
Boytsov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boytsov misses with an uppercut. Pearce saw that one coming.
Boytsov scores with a jab. Pearce acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The fighters circling - Pearce throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pearce thows a left - swing and a miss!

Boytsov lands a lovely overhand right.

Boytsov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pearce to the ground. Boytsov is now in Pearce's guard.

Boytsov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Boytsov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Pearce has his hands on Boytsov's head, controlling the position.

Boytsov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pearce is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pearce has escaped and now he's on top!

Pearce is sitting in close to Boytsov's body. Boytsov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pearce is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pearce is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Boytsov.
