Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Martti Esko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dai Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Machida's choice of entrance music: Do The Ayatollah. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Martti Esko! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dai Machida! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machida has Esko up against the ropes in a clinch.
Machida drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Esko gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Machida wants the takedown. Esko is fighting it off but Machida persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Esko's guard against the ropes. Esko keeping moving, preventing Machida from controlling successfully. Machida pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Esko is keeping the position for now. Machida trying to control the position from guard on top but Esko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Machida is pushing down on Esko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Esko is fighting to maintain full guard but Machida has managed to sneak the leg through. Esko is looking to improve his position.
Esko avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Machida. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Machida is looking for a kimura but Esko is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Machida to get the leverage. Machida thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Machida wants to pass to mount but Esko is defending the position. Machida looks to land a strike but Esko avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Machida has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Esko is on top in guard.
Machida strikes from his own guard. Machida wants to sweep but no luck. Machida is adopting a defensive guard. Machida keeping moving, preventing Esko from controlling successfully. Machida throws a few punches from the bottom. Esko seems unphased and he's got hold of a leg now - he's dropped back for a heel hook! He's got it! This fight is aaaaaaaaaall over!
