Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronaldo Gomes!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gomes.
Gomes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively.
Gomes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gomes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Walker throws a hook but Gomes avoids it easily.
Gomes throws the left hand but Walker avoids the punch easily.
Walker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gomes. Walker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice combo by Walker! Oh, that's hurt him - Gomes falls to the canvas and Walker follows him into side control.
Gomes is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Gomes is still on wobbly legs! Can Walker finish him?
Walker lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Gomes head around and knocks him out cold! Walker hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chief Walker!
A relieved looking Chief Walker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
