Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phil St. Georges (ranked 2381 p4p, 3045 weight class) and Bartlomiej Jan (ranked 176 p4p, 212 weight class). Bartlomiej Jan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

With a record of 19 - 27 - 0, fighting out of London, Bartlomiej Jan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St. Georges fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jan tries for a takedown but St. Georges sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jan gets caught flat footed, as St. Georges shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
St. Georges tries to free his leg and advance position but Jan is retaining full guard.
St. Georges passes into half guard.

St. Georges is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
St. Georges wants to pass to mount but Jan is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. St. Georges is working away from the top position though.
Jan is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but St. Georges is staying active.

St. Georges is looking for a kimura but Jan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for St. Georges to get the leverage.
Jan has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

St. Georges will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jan tries to roll over but St. Georges keeps him under control.
