Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Wheeler. Those never looked like landing.
Herrera misses with a takedown attempt - Wheeler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wheeler smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A telegraphed right hand from Wheeler misses the target.
And Herrera tries to counter it with a takedown but Wheeler pushes his down on his head and steps out.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A big left from Wheeler misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Herrera.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Herrera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wheeler tries to avoid it but Herrera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wheeler to the ground. Wheeler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rylan Wheeler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Herrera.
Wheeler looks to score with a jab to the body but Herrera is just out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Herrera or perhaps it was just good defense by Wheeler, which made it look bad.

Herrera shoots in looking for a takedown but Wheeler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Herrera's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wheeler feints with a jab and clips Herrera right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Herrera is sent crashing into the canvas and Wheeler leaps in for the kill! Herrera tries to get to his feet but Wheeler is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Herrera is in need of a savior and steps in!
