Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Louis Drieux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gervonta Davis!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drieux has a takedown stuffed.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Drieux.
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Davis gets tackled into the cage by Drieux. Drieux maintains the clinch.
Drieux working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Drieux drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drieux has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Davis has managed to get both his arms back between Drieux's legs - danger averted.

Drieux has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Davis off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Drieux feints and as Davis raises his hands in defense, Drieux changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Drieux works his way into full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drieux sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Poor strikes thrown by Drieux there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Drieux looking to control and managing it successfully.

Drieux looking to secure an arm triangle but Davis defends it well.
Drieux sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Davis holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Drieux tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Drieux postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Davis looks a forlorn figure.

Drieux sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Drieux sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Drieux looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Drieux is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Davis is surviving well by controlling Drieux's body position as best he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Drieux controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Drieux stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Louis Drieux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drieux darts in looking for a takedown but Davis gets double underhooks and turns Drieux into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louis Drieux. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Drieux goes for a takedown attempt but Davis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Drieux closes the distance and clinches up with Davis, looking for a takedown. Drieux pushes Davis against the cage but Davis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Davis throws a counter combo.

Drieux has managed to clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Drieux shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Davis counters with a three punch combo that has Drieux backing up. Drieux nods at Davis to acknowledge the strikes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Louis Drieux dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Davis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Drieux.
Drieux swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis rushes Drieux and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Drieux is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Davis piles on the pressure and Drieux crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gervonta Davis!
Gervonta Davis looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Man, Rick Victor that was the easiest fight of my life. Give me more of a challenge next time loser. Light work 🥱🥱🥱 should've just stayed home instead of fighting you'.
