Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arsi Kuja (ranked 1146 p4p, 1172 weight class) and Jeffery Onana (ranked 145 p4p, 151 weight class). Jeffery Onana will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeffery Onana!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Onana as he checks the leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Onana.
Onana misses with a hook. Kuja ducked under it nicely.
Onana throws an off balance right hand
and Kuja cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Onana counters with a nice kick to the body.
Kuja swats away the attempt to clinch by Onana.
Kuja pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuja pushes Onana up against the cage in a clinch.
Onana lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kuja backwards.

Onana swings wildly with an uppercut but Kuja uses good head movement to avoid it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Onana creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Onana tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kuja swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kuja trying to control the position but instead, Onana has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kuja into the cage.

Onana has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kuja seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Onana can turn it around.

Kuja gets through Onana's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kuja throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Onana feints a jab promting Kuja to slip. Onana then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kuja slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Arsi Kuja has been cut.

and Onana counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Onana. Kuja shrugs it off though.
The fighters circling - Kuja throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kuja swats away the attempt to clinch by Onana.
Kuja throws a quick counter kick to the body but Onana avoids it.
Onana feints and then cracks Kuja's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kuja down.

Kuja takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kuja is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Onana's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Kuja does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Onana cracks Kuja with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kuja tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Onana pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kuja is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeffery Onana!
Jeffery Onana decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
