Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luis Caixinha (ranked 3483 p4p, 1605 weight class) and Gaetano Villacci (ranked 407 p4p, 222 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Caixinha.
Caixinha seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Villacci looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Villacci enables Caixinha to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Villacci manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Caixinha is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Villacci can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
