Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oscar Bukele!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Barnes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ben Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bukele.
Barnes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bukele's head backwards.
Bukele shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barnes but Barnes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Barnes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bukele fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Bukele. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bukele takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bukele looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Barnes cracks Bukele with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Barnes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bukele.
Bukele shoots in but Barnes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bukele is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barnes lands with an uppercut that bounces Bukele off the cage and back into range.
Bukele takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bukele is rocked!
Barnes lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Bukele goes down and covers up as Barnes starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Barnes!
