Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reece Campos (ranked 4772 p4p, 5448 weight class) and Paul Sanchez (ranked 444 p4p, 471 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reece Campos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Campos gets tackled into the cage by Sanchez. Sanchez maintains the clinch. Campos looking to throw knees to the head but Sanchez is blocking nicely.
Campos throws a punch but it's blocked by Sanchez. Sanchez gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Sanchez landing with the ground and pound. Sanchez is looking to advance position but Campos has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez can't escape the position.
Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Campos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sanchez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Campos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez manages to control the position for a moment. Campos is looking to work his way around to Sanchez's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanchez can do anything to dispel that myth. Sanchez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sanchez wants to control but Campos is having none of it. Campos wants to take his opponent's back but Sanchez doesn't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sanchez wants to control but Campos is having none of it. Sanchez wants to get back to his feet.
Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Campos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sanchez is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. We've been hearing that Campos has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Sanchez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Campos is staying active. Campos controlling the pace for now. Campos avoids the attempt from Sanchez to control. Sanchez tries to control Campos's body but Campos pushes him off. Sanchez squirms to his side and now Campos has his back! Sanchez wants to control his opponent's hands but Campos gets his hands free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez tries to break free.
Sanchez wants to get back to his feet. Campos is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Sanchez tries to roll but Campos sticks to his back.
Campos is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanchez breaks Campos's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Reece Campos dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Campos throws a series of punches but Sanchez moves out of range. Campos throws a body shot but no joy. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches. Sanchez breaks the clinch.
Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Campos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sanchez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Campos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Campos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sanchez. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campos lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Campos trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Campos prevents Sanchez from getting back to his feet. Sanchez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Sanchez trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Sanchez wants to stand but Campos is controlling the position. Sanchez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Sanchez controls Campos momentarily but Campos frees himself. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sanchez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Campos is aware though and is defending well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sanchez. Campos is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sanchez is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Campos sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Campos is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sanchez scores with a couple of nice shots. Reece Campos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sanchez is working for a submission of some sort.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campos tries to get to full guard but Sanchez has control of the leg. Sanchez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Campos defending well though. Sanchez not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Campos defends it well. Sanchez is trying to control. Campos wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sanchez is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Campos reverses the position - he's now on top in Sanchez's guard. Campos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now. Sanchez wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Campos is now in half guard. Sanchez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanchez is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Campos throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease. Sanchez forces Campos back against the cage and clinches. Campos tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sanchez gets control of Campos's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sanchez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Campos wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez pulls Campos in close to his closed guard and prevents Campos from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez wants to control but Campos passes easily into half guard.

Campos wants to control but Sanchez is keeping him busy. Campos is thwarting Sanchez's attempts to control the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Campos prevents Sanchez from improving his position. Sanchez wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sanchez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Sanchez manages to break the clinch.

Sanchez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Campos is trying to force a seperation but Sanchez has the dominant position. Campos fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Campos has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reece Campos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Campos tries to work over Sanchez's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Sanchez gets a trip takedown into half guard. Sanchez looks to land a strike but Campos avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Campos throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sanchez looking to sit in guard and control but Campos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sanchez is trying to control the position but Campos postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Campos haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sanchez seems keen to control Campos's posture. Sanchez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Campos slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Campos has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
