Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elix Juarez (ranked 2589 p4p, 2602 weight class) and Deveon Zelda (ranked 316 p4p, 318 weight class). Zelda has chosen Immortal Technique - The Point of No Return as his entrance music. Deveon Zelda has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juarez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Zelda throws an overhand right that lands on Juarez's shoulder, as Juarez tries to avoid the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Juarez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Juarez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Zelda wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Juarez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Zelda sprawls and moves away.
