Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lonnie Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Furguson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fisher gets caught napping as Furguson dives in and scores a takedown. Fisher manages to retain guard.
Fisher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Furguson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Furguson advances position into side control!
Furguson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fisher is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Furguson is trying to get an arm triangle but Fisher is defending well.
Fisher struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Furguson fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Furguson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Furguson tries to stand but Fisher controls the position and pulls Furguson into his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fisher pulls Furguson in to control the position.

Fisher is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fisher is trying to keep Furguson in close.
Fisher is really struggling to control Furguson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Fisher throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Fisher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Furguson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Furguson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fisher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Furguson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fisher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Furguson has managed to get both his arms back between Fisher's legs - danger averted.

Furguson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Fisher to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Furguson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Fisher pulls down on the head and he's put Furguson to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lonnie Fisher!
