The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson throws a hook but Madison avoids it easily.
Pearson throws a hook to the side of Madison's head but Madison sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pearson throws a leg kick but Madison moved away.
It looked like Madison wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Pearson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Madison tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pearson smiles and moves away.

Pearson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pearson manages to end up in side control.
Pearson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well Pearson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
