Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Floki Lichein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zaid Owens!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lichein.
A jab from Owens misses.
Owens waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lichein.
Lichein swings widly with a right hand
and Owens counters with a nice uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Owens. Lichein does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lichein feints a jab promting Owens to slip. Lichein then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Owens slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Zaid Owens has been cut.
Owens slips a straight right by Lichein.
Lichein takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Floki Lichein has been cut.
Lichein uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Owens.
Lichein throws a looping overhand right but Owens ducks down to avoid it.
Owens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lichein was well out of range. Poor timing from Owens.
Owens looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Owens slips a straight right by Lichein.
Lichein uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Owens.
Lichein misses the jab.
Lichein throws a poor cross that misses
and Owens counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lichein smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Owens throws out a loose jab but Lichein uses good head movement to avoid it.
Floki Lichein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Decent striking displayed by Owens there.
Lichein moves out of range of the strikes.
Donk. Lichein catches Owens right on the button with a cross.
Owens scores with a jab to the body.
Lichein throws a jab but it's blocked by Owens.
Owens ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Owens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Owens avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A little jabbing left from Owens on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lichein throws a shot from downtown. Owens moves away and avoids it.
Owens throws the left hand but Lichein avoids the punch easily.
Lichein is looking to counter punch.
Lichein pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Owens lunges at Lichein with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lichein's hand.
Owens throws a nice looking combination but Lichein bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice defenses there by Owens.
Lichein throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Owens sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Owens connects with a looping right hand.
Lichein is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Owens drops Lichein with a big left hand! Lichein is injured, injured bad! Owens jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
