Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Techno Viking (ranked 4855 p4p, 4721 weight class) and Derek Rodney (ranked 483 p4p, 477 weight class). Viking comes to the cage accompanied by Save, Change and Exit - Winstan. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Rodney 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rodney lands a nice hook to Viking's body. Viking takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rodney keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rodney uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Viking.
Viking shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rodney as he avoids it easily.
Rodney wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Rodney throws a right hand that Viking ducks under and follows up with a left that Viking also avoids with ease.
Viking attempts a counter takedown but Rodney avoids it well and moves away.

Rodney throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Viking shoots in for a double leg but Rodney sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Derek Rodney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodney ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Viking goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Rodney counters with a stiff right hand.
Viking connects with a jab.
Viking has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rodney finds it's way round the side to connect with Viking's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Viking shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rodney napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Viking thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodney can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee warns Rodney that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Viking has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rodney's face.

and Rodney counters with a left right combination that sends Viking crashing to the mat - Rodney wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Viking out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
