Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Walton (ranked 680 p4p, 799 weight class) and Marques Roy (ranked 82 p4p, 99 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Walton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marques Roy! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Walton. Roy's coach down at Freaky Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Roy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Roy gets a takedown into half guard. Walton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Roy is controlling the pace.
Roy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Walton is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Roy working the ground and pound. Marques Roy has got the better of the ground game so far. Walton is working to avoid the ground and pound but Roy connects with a decent elbow. Roy works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Roy slows the pace down. Roy scoring with punches from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Walton is trying to improve his position. Roy controlling the position.

Walton is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Roy working away. Roy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Walton to see if he's OK. Walton is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Roy tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Roy working the head and body with strikes. Walton struggling a bit here. The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Roy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marques Roy! A relieved looking Marques Roy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
