Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Santorino (ranked 941 p4p, 1047 weight class) and Scott Potter (ranked 119 p4p, 133 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nick Santorino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Potter! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santorino shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like Nick Santorino has been cut. Scott Potter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Potter misses with a jab to the body
and Santorino counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Santorino connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Santorino uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Potter. A quick step to the side and Santorino tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Potter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Santorino connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Potter checks a low kick from Santorino. Potter cracks Santorino with an open hand slap. Potter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santorino was well out of range. Poor timing from Potter. Santorino slips a jab from Potter. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Santorino. Santorino with a body punch. A glancing blow. Potter's coach down at Freaky Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Potter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Santorino lands a nice leg kick that just misses Potter's sensitive parts. Potter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Santorino.

and Santorino counters with a head kick that drops Potter to the mat! Potter scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
That's one minute gone in the round. Santorino slips a straight right by Potter. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Santorino. Santorino misses with a double jab.
Potter looks to score with a jab to the body but Santorino is just out of range. Santorino avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Santorino scores with a jab. Potter acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Santorino darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Santorino swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Santorino fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Potter has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Potter throws a hook but Santorino blocks it. Santorino appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Santorino moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Potter throws a shot to the body.
Potter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Santorino. Santorino circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Potter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Santorino will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Santorino jabbing away but nothing is landing. Potter looks like he wants to counter punch here. Santorino lands with a thumping leg kick.
Santorino definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Santorino throws a sloppy body shot
and Potter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Potter throws a body shot but no joy. Potter connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Santorino swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Potter counters with a nice uppercut. Nice body kick there by Santorino. Santorino throws a left and a right that both miss
and Santorino takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Potter is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Santorino had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Santorino throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Santorino ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Potter moves away. A nice side step and Potter releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Santorino is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Santorino throws a shot from downtown. Potter moves away and avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Santorino moves away. Santorino throws a combination. Potter tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Potter sizes up Santorino with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Potter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Santorino on the side of the head.
Santorino is rocked! Potter drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Santorino right on the button. Santorino goes down! Potter follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Potter gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Potter! After the fight, Scott Potter was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
