PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Muromets (ranked 1305 p4p, 2227 weight class) and Emerald Dream (ranked 162 p4p, 264 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Emerald Dream was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilya Muromets!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emerald Dream!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Chris Dean and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Muromets ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Muromets half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Muromets shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dream pinned against the cage. Dream gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ilya Muromets will probably get the nod.

Muromets is stalling here. Dream is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Muromets seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dream has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Emerald Dream comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dream has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
